Clean public areas provide a welcoming atmosphere.
We faced numerous cleanliness issues that made our stay uncomfortable. The bathroom had strong mold growth, which was alarming, and staff brushed it off as 'just old paint. ' Additionally, breakfast food was unappetizing, with old fruit and a lack of oversight. My experience felt neglected, leaving me disappointed and seeking a better option elsewhere.

Ask for fresh towels during your stay. you might have to bring the garbage outside your door for service.

missingWrote a review on Nov 08variety in breakfast optionspoor cleanliness in public areas
The variety in breakfast options was quite a highlight, with pancakes and freshly brewed coffee available to kickstart the day.
However, there were cleanliness issues throughout the hotel, particularly in the breakfast area where garbage hadn’t been emptied for days and tables were dirty.

The breakfast spread had some promise with scrambled eggs and a waffle maker to whip up your own golden delights. The comfy bed in our Studio King Suite was a real treat for tired bones after a long day of exploring Dubuque. And let’s not forget about those divine chocolate muffins that were a culinary high five right from the start!
However, we faced a series of cleanliness blunders. Our first room had a glass lamp shade shattered with bits on the desk, and there was green mold lurking in the bathroom. After moving twice more, the staff insisted it was just old paint—but really? Plus, the breakfast had old, bruised fruit that looked like it walked in from a horror movie. Total letdown!

The layout and comfort of the bed in the room were quite satisfactory, allowing us to sleep well after a long day enjoying local attractions. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a waffle maker, which was decent. However, there were visible cleanliness issues in the bathroom as it had dirt and cobwebs, and the reception desk was not staffed at check-in and check-out, which was inconvenient. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

The location offered easy access to nearby attractions. The coffee maker in the room worked well for morning brews, adding a nice touch to the stay. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and freshly made waffles, which were decent. Unfortunately, the bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I noticed dirt and cobwebs on the floor and corners. Also, the reception desk was frequently unstaffed, making both check-in and check-out a frustrating experience. I had to search for someone to assist us in the morning. The bed was comfortable, but a missing towel rack made it inconvenient to access the towels. Overall, a blend of comfort and neglect.

decent stay but needs improvement
The breakfast had a good variety of items, making it an enjoyable start to the day. I appreciated the quietness of the room, which allowed us to relax despite the hotel being busy. The three sprinklers in the room provided an added sense of safety that not many hotels offer.
The check-in process felt a bit slow, as there was no one at the desk initially.

Cleanliness was a significant issue. the bathroom in the room had visible mold, and general maintenance felt lacking. The staff at the front desk often were not available, leading to slow check-in processes that added to the frustration. On the upside, the hot breakfast offered a nice selection, though it could benefit from more protein options. The indoor pool area was enticing but faced disruptions during renovations, which was disappointing.

Good breakfast variety but needs some work
We stayed for 4 nights, and honestly, the breakfast was a highlight! Every day there was different hot food. You could whip up waffles and grab muffins. The only bummer was the pool area—no towels in sight, so we kept running to the front desk for more. Room was comfy, but could use a deep clean.
